OVERVIEW

According to the Buddha, it is possible to accumulate merits and purify one's mindstream in different ways- first of all through one's own spiritual practice, but also by requsting a religious community to perform rituals or prayers. Such ceremonies can be organized both for one's own intention, or for the intention of others. The purity of the motivation of those who ask for such prayers and of those who carry them out is of course paramount.
