The quick path - Bordeaux - 2013

OVERVIEW

The Quick Path, or Nyurlam in Tibetan, is one of the eight great lamrim texts and was written by the 2nd Panchen Lama Lobsang Yeshe. It is a commentary on the fundamental work of his predecessor, The Easy Path, or Delam. For six consecutive years, at the request of Kadam Tcheuling Bordeaux, Rinpoche gave the transmission and instructions of this essential treatise, which constitutes a deeply inspiring meditation guide to the path leading to enlightenment.
This is the fifth cycle of these teachings.

WHAT IS INCLUDED IN THESE TEACHINGS?

Rinpoche imparts precise and profound instructions for realizing the mind of enlightenment by the step-by-step method of equalizing and exchanging self and others.
      1. Equalize self and others
      2. Contemplate from many angles the disadvantages of cherishing ourself
      3. Contemplate from many angles the advantages of cherishing others
      4. Actually generate the thought to transpose self and others
      5. On this basis, meditate giving and taking
Rinpoche continues by explaining how to maintain the spirit of enlightenment through ritual, and how to train in bodhisattva practice, especially the perfection of generosity with its three forms of giving.

WHAT WILL YOU LEARN?

Our practice of bodhicitta, the spirit of enlightenment, will deepen thanks to this extraordinary method that was passed on in secret for generations. It will allow us to generate within us the most accurate response to all the misery of the world, namely genuine altruism, truly unconditional and universal love and compassion. This instruction is unsurpassed, because it attacks our greatest enemy, our only enemy in fact, in its very core: the egocentric, self-cherishing mind.
