Lamrim retreats

From 1999, Rinpoche began to share his priceless realization of the lamrim - The Stages of the Path to Enlightenment - of which he is lineage holder during successive retreats of about ten days. Over time, they have become for many the most precious moment of the year. Dazzling in their depth, vibrant with the richness of more than 2600 years of practice, alive with the experience of sages and saints who experiences and passed on these incomparable instructions from generation to generation, these retreats have been for many students a source of profound transformations. At the request of his disciples, Rinpoche has agreed to make their recordings accessible on this site, provided that certain conditions are met. During these retreats, Rinpoche relies mainly on Liberation in Our Hands by Pabongkha Dorjechang and The Great Treatise on the Stages of the Path to Enlightenment by the great Je Tsongkhapa, but also on the inestimable heritage that he received from his masters, and in the very first place Kyabje Trijang Dorjechang and Kyabje Ling Dorjechang. Each retreat is most often devoted to a particular theme of the gradual path, although it is never approached independently from all the other stages of the path. Deepened through all the nuances of the quotes, reasonings and life stories offered by the root treatises, as well as meditations guided by Rinpoche himself, each of them reveal in turn all their richness. This approach leaves also the opportunity for each student to put into practice and integrate the instructions given by Rinpoche, until the next retreat. It also demonstrates the infinite patience, compassion, and wisdom of Rinpoche who over the course of several years has never hesitated to come back to specific parts of the lamrim, such as the way to rely on our masters, the understanding of the extraordinary potential of our human existence or the awareness of death and impermanence, to help us realizing it.
